Appointments & Fees
First Session
Your first session will begin with a review of the intake form and an assessment of your goals in therapy. While sessions are generally one hour in length, if you are travelling a longer distance, adjustments to the session may be made. Furthermore, depending on the issues or concerns that you have, the number of sessions needed vary. Besides the actual counselling session, you may be asked to do homework assignments, journaling, reading, or have additional conversations.

Policy
While we strive to keep costs as low as possible, we recognize that the therapeutic relationship is an investment by both parties. In some cases, churches offer scholarships to lower the cost to individuals.
Like most counsellors, we will not bill directly to insurance companies. Prior to booking an appointment, please check with your provider about possible coverage by providing the company with Dwight’s credentials and license number (MA, Canadian Certified Counsellor with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association #10001780; and Counselling Therapist with the College of Counselling Therapy PEI #238). If you require additional information, we are pleased to assist in any way.
We kindly request 24 hours notice if you are unable to keep an appointment. In the event of late cancellations or missed appointments, a fee of half the session cost may be billed to your account. In the event of inclement weather or an emergency on behalf of the therapist, you will be contacted in advance to reschedule your appointment.

Intake Form
All first time visitors are asked to complete our General Intake form and submit a printed copy at their initial appointment. Each person attending counselling must submit their own form.
